JOB SUMMARY

The Information Security Officer (ISO) is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive information security program, which includes policies and procedures designed to protect the Association’s information technology assets, customer information, intellectual property and other information related assets and processes from both internal and external threats. Manage the day-to-day operations of the information security department, including security incident response, security awareness training, and risk management. Responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and working with IT Operations to resolve them, ensuring that network and data remain secure.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science field or equivalent
  • Must be detail oriented, task driven, and have excellent communications skills.
  • Experience in Data Privacy Act of 2012 IRR and operations.
  • Experience in an information security role.
  • Solid knowledge of various information security frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to educate a non-technical audience about various security measure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze legislative requirements and relate these to organizational practices and solutions
  • Has knowledge of information risk analysis and risk management
