How often should I update my membership?
Updating of Membership must be done every 3 years or whenever new information is provided by the Member or gathered by the Association within the three year period.

PROFILE UPDATE AND OTHER CONCERNS
UPDATE OF PSSLAI ID
• Service ID or any of the following valid IDs (present original & attach photocopy with 3 specimen signatures)
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
• Service ID or any of the following valid IDs (present original & attach photocopy with 3 specimen signatures)
CHANGE OF SERVICE STATUS
• Certification of Duty Status or Retirement Order
• Recent payslip
CHANGE OF CIVIL STATUS
• NSO issued Marriage Contract / Certificate or Court order / finality null and void marriage or amendment order
• Service ID or any of the following valid IDs (present original & attach photocopy with 3 specimen signatures)
SINGLE TO JOINT (OR VICE VERSA)
• Service ID or any of the following valid IDs (present original & attach photocopy with 3 specimen signatures)
• Passbook of all parties
• Personal appearance of all parties
LOST ID
• Notarized Affidavit of Loss

I want to have a joint account with another person who is not my immediate family. Is this possible?
No. Members can have joint accounts only with their immediate family members (Parent – Child/ between Spouses).
How to close my membership? (Voluntary, Automatic or Deceased)
A. A member can VOLUNTARILY CLOSE / TERMINATE his membership anytime.
Provided that:
– he does not have existing loan
– he does not have active loan wherein he acted as co-maker
– he does not have any existing liability with PSSLAI (such as negative CapCon, etc)
B. Voluntary termination should be done by the member himself. TERMINATION THRU REPRESENTATIVE IS NOT ALLOWED.
C. Automatic cancellation of associates in the event of closure of account of regular member
No need to get consent – provided that in certificate of relationship, they signed the provision that in the event that their regular member closes his account, their account should be automatically closed even without their consent.
Voluntarily Cancellation Membership
1. Regular member and Associate must fill up voluntary Termination of Membership form.
2. New accounts representative shall ask approval / clearance from AMD and Marketing.
3. Regular Member and Associates should surrender PSSLAI ID and passbooks.
4. Regular members and associates shall fill up withdrawal slip for all the accounts.
5. New accounts representative shall update all the passbooks and forward to teller.
6. Teller will close of all accounts CAPCON, PSA, PDA, CASA, and STD with stamp “accounts closed” to withdrawal slip and releases cash to client.
7. New accounts representative shall update joint account (if there is).
8. Teller shall perforate ID and passbooks.
9. New accounts representative shall file the closed accounts together with perforated ID, passbooks, other attachments. Will keep record until 5 years.
Who among the family of members of a Regular Member are allowed to place a deposit to their PSSLAI accounts?
  • Legal spouse and children
  • Grandchildren, daughter and son-in-law (existing members)
Is my deposit insured?
No. We are not a member of PDIC. However, we are regulated by BSP.
What is Overpayment?
Overpayment is an amount you will get each time you will re-loan. The amount is equivalent to 1 or 2 months amortization of your old loan, depending on the cut off.
When can I get my overpayment?
Overpayment for the current month will be credited to your PSSLAI account between 3rd – 4th week of the following  month.
Example: Overpayment for the month of January = will be credited on 3rd-4th week of February
My loan is already settled but the loan deduction continues, what should I do?
  • You may proceed to the nearest PSSLAI office or contact Customer Care for assistance.
  • Loans Monitoring and Collection Department (LMCD) will advise what cut off (Month) the stoppage will take place. While deduction has not stopped, PSSLAI will credit back this amount to the Member’s account.
We are looking for sponsors for our upcoming event and we would like to seek for PSSLAI’s assistance, what is the process for this?
For Donation or Sponsorship request, please prepare a request letter addressed to our Chairman and CEO, PDIR LUCAS M MANAGUELOD (RET) F.I.C.D.
Bring the letter to the nearest PSSLAI Office or to our Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, Ms. Loricel Silvio. The request is subject to the Board’s approval.
Does PSSLAI offer assistance to its Members who were Killed or Wounded in action?
  • Killed in action = death as a result of lawful performance of duty
  • Wounded in action = “Wound” is defined a serious injury  to any part of the  body sustained  in the lawful  performance of duty which necessitates treatment by  a medical  officer,  rendering the person  unfit to perform  his regular duties.
  • How to request for assistance?
    • The Member or the immediate family has to write a letter addressed to our Chairman and CEO, PDIR LUCAS M MANAGUELOD (RET) F.I.C.D.
    • Bring the letter and other necessary documents to the nearest PSSLAI Office or to our Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, Ms. Loricel Silvio
    • The Corporate Social Responsibility Officer will contact the Member or the immediate family to get other details and for other requirements.
    • The financial assistance is subject to the Board’s approval.
