As part of PSSLAI's commitment to enhance the overall well-being of its members, both financially and in terms of wellness, the Association has partnered with a service provider to introduce a Healthcare Program specifically for public safety personnel and their dependents, providing access to healthcare services that were previously unavailable to them.
ELIGIBILITY:
  • Open to all PSSLAI Regular and Associate Members.
    • Principal enrollee:
      1. Regular members aged 18 to 65 years old
      2. Associate members - PPSC, NAPOLCOM, and PSSLAI employees aged 18 to 65 years old
    • Dependent enrollee:
      1. Associate members - Spouse and Children up to 65 years old.
  • Must be capable of performing activities of daily living.
  • Members with pre-existing conditions are fully covered, provided they are not bedridden at the time of enrollment and subject to certain limitations and exclusions.
COVERAGE:
  • Twelve (12) months healthcare coverage per enrollee.
  • Maximum Benefit Limit: Php 30,000 per illness per year

Benefits

  • Complications related to a specific illnes (e.g. diabetes complications such as hypertension or kidney disease) are considered as one illness.
  • Work-Related injury/illness: Coverage up to Php 15,000 or 50% of the MBL.
  • Non-Work Related Injury/Illness: Coverage up to 100% of the MBL.
  • The MBL is shared across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.

  • Room and board limit: Ward Room Upgrades:
    • Optional Upgrade: Members may upgrade their room category but will be responsible for any incremental charges and the difference in room rates.
    • Involuntary Upgrade: If a ward room is unavailable, the member may stay in a higher category room for the first 24 hours (excluding suites) by paying only the difference in room rates, with no additional charges. The member must transfer to the next available ward room as soon as possible.
    • Beyond 24 Hours:
      • If a member stays in a Semi-Private room, 30% of the Maximum Benefit Limit (MBL) will be charged;
      • If member stays in a Private room, 50% of the MBL will be charged.
  • Coverage includes ICU, operating room, and recovery room use.
  • Out-Patient benefits:

  • Consultations during regular clinic hours
  • Minor surgeries, laboratory exams, and diagnostic procedures
  • Coverage for treatments like eye laser therapy, allergy testing, and speech therapy
  • Work-related injuries are covered
  • Professional fees, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures.

  • FREE 24/7 access to teleconsultation services through the GenConnect app.
    • This means members can consult with a doctor at any time and from any location without any cost to them.
    • These teleconsultations are fully covered, and any teleconsultation services used will not be deducted from the member's ₱30,000 benefit limit.
  • 24/7 Helpdesk and area coordinators are available across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Members can reach the Helpdesk for assistance using the contact information below:

  • Members are covered up to the maximum benefit limit only. Any excess charges must be paid by the member before discharge.   
  • Members should file PhilHealth claims before discharge. Otherwise, the PhilHealth portion will be charged to the member if not filed.

Healthcare Coverage Program

  • The promo is open to all PSSLAI members who will avail of a NEW qualified loan product from September 2, 2024 onwards.
  • Qualified loan products for the promo with corresponding parameters are as follows:
    • New Salary or Pension deducted loans with minimum amount of Php 300,000 AND loan term of 3 to 5 years
    • New Kapartner Loan account with minimum amount of Php 500,000 AND loan term of 6 months to 5 years.
  • Credit Build Salary/Pension/Kapartner and Calamity Salary/Pension/Kapartner loan products are excluded in this promo.
  • The Libreng Healthcare Program is on a PER MEMBER basis. Hence, a member can only get 1 healthcare coverage regardless of the number of qualified loans availed during the period.
  • If the member cancels or terminates the loan account prior to its maturity WHILE the coverage is still ACTIVE, the full amount of any availed health services within the period and other charges corresponding to the loan account shall be charged to the member.
  • All loan accounts availed are subject to the existing terms and conditions of PSSLAI.
  • The Libreng Healthcare Program is non-convertible to cash nor transferrable, even if the intended enrollee is a member of PSSLAI. Only the loan borrower, whose name appears on the loan application form, can avail of the free Libreng Healthcare Program.
  • The Libreng Healthcare Program is covered by the terms and conditions stated herein and is subject to change by the Healthcare Program provider upon notice.
CUT-OFF DATES:
  • Enrollments from the 1st to the 15th: Coverage will begin on the 16th of the same month.
  • Enrollments from the 16th to the 30th/31st: Coverage will begin on the 1st day of the following month.
ISSUANCE OF THE HEALTHCARE PROGRAM:
  • Members will receive a Proof of Healthcare Coverage which will be sent via email on the effective date of coverage.
  • Members may access their Virtual Health Card via the GenConnect Mobile Application.
  • Members are pre-registered to the GenConnect if they provide an email address.
  • If a member does not have an email address, they should contact the MBS Helpdesk for registration assistance. Members must provide at least two contact details, such as mobile numbers, landlines, or email addresses. 
HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE GENCONNECT MOBILE APPLICATION:

Steps:
  1. Member will receive an SMS and Welcome Email containing the pre-registered account in GenConnect App and the instruction on how to install.
  2. Download the GenConnect App from Google Play Store or App Store for IOS.
  3. Sign in using the temporary credentials given in the welcome email. And re-sign in using your unique password before landing on the homepage. In case the member did not receive a welcome email:
    • Register in GenConnect app and sign in using Username, Email, or Mobile Number.
    • Member will receive an OTP from his registered phone number before landing on the Homepage.
  4. Input your unique certificate number to have full access to the app and see your Virtual Card.
